Time flies..

Well a couple of weekends have passed...
We have been tackling the fence...still lots more to do.
I have been attaching the wire 'skirt' that runs along at ground level to stop possums getting under the fence. Hard work..but my trusty knee pads help.

The new dam is slowly filling..

The boys work on digging holes and cementing in fence /gate posts..also hard work!!

Tom takes a break from fencing to do a spot of mowing..

Carefully avoiding the lovely jonquils and daffs that have come up..

My cloud angel (for those of you that didn't see it on facebook)
Sunday, I go knock off early to go to community garden open afternoon..the garden group provide afternoon tea
It is a glorious day and many roll up to await Costa...who is coming over after a Landcare conference at St James concludes..

I have a lovely sit and chat with my friend Tereza and her dogs..nellie likes the look of my lap and takes up residence..

I don't stay for Costa as I'm too exhausted to wait for him (running late)..and there is firewood at home that has to be stacked..
But friends pass on photos..

Monday and John harvests the Chamomilla cupto cultum..that he has grown through 3 growth cycles.
1st....Chamomilla seed grown watered with Cuprum(copper) solution is grown. Then mulched.
2nd.. Chamomilla seed grown in mulch of 1st cycle.  Then mulched
3rd ..Chamomilla seed grown in mulch of 2nd cycle.

 Then processed....

And set on to make a tincture. This is the first time we have made this ourselves..very exciting.

My mornings and evenings involve a bit of yarn bombing crochet..having alot of fun.  Tom is getting into the spirit and helping me name some of my bunting triangles...just for fun.

 In the Pink..
 Quick brown fox..
 Bluebird of happiness
 More owls...
 Spinning tops...

We see a bit of sunshine and even get some warmish days..

More of my bunting on display..

Folk festival posters go up around town..
Lovely ducks out for early morning quack..

The beautiful Stone Pine in the Community Garden..
 Budding roses on the hill..
One day...all you will see is roses..

The weather is wild on Saturday..high winds and rain whipping across on and off.
Tom is not sorry to have to go to a scout 'Jamboree of the air' at Mountain River for the afternoon.
John and I battle on..

Sunday and we get to work stacking delivered wood in the garage on the hill in anticipation for next winter..
Then back to those gate posts..

 And mowing...

 And fencing...

There has not been a great deal of progress on the house..
The external painting is being done..and that's about it.
The joiner is dragging the chain a bit and having to backtrack to fix/adjust things...slow going.
Not much we can do about it but be patient...

Tom and I stop at the top of Cawthorn's Rd to look at Hans and Esther's gorgeous goats frolicking about.

John is delighting in sorting out the leftover books from the Scout Garage Sale.
Tom puts  a range of books outside the shop each day.. asking for $1 each for Scouts..
They are slowly selling...will be great to add to the Scout funds..and John is enjoying himself immensely.. (never mind that we can barely get in the side door !!.c'est la vie ..with John)
