The latest..

I had a lovely birthday...beginning with breakie in bed..
(a favourite teacup that belonged to my dear Ma, roses from my garden and a quoll for company)

Hannah had been down on Monday evening and cooked a delicious dinner, fabulous 'I quit sugar' salted macadamia cake...and gave me this gorgeous scarf

Jane and Ali sent this fabulous mobile...love it!!
The day passed in it's usual fashion...so thankful for my wonderful life here in Cygnet.

After dinner the boys and I set up cameras in different locations on our property as part of a Wildlife Monitoring Project in the Huon Valley. We hope to get photos of various animals on our place over the next 3 weeks

Thursday evening I had Knitwits...and my lovely friends brought Birthday flowers for me..
Was a lovely evening as usual.

Friday afternoon I took off to head to Sydney for a brief visit..
So glad to see my dear Pa who turns 87 this week and give him a big hug

Lovely to catch up with Libby and help set up for Jacinta's baby shower the next day..Wonderful to see their beautiful home and the gorgeous mural that Ben has painted for the new bub..
Then off to spend the evening with the Goode family..
Loads of cuddles and photos of my darling Bailey boy..

And he loves it..

Off for a family walk with the dogs (can't get used to the blue blue sky...haven't seen that in Cygnet for quite a while)

Sunday morning I drop in to catch up with Chris before heading to the airport..
I drop past Hannah's place on the way home to have a 'pick-me-up' coffee and take a peek at the house all set up...looks fab...
Home to the boys, we check the wildlife cameras are working.. (have some photos of quolls, a tassie devil, possums, pademelons and wallabies) then settle in for the night..phew!! busy weekend

I delight in the snap chat photos/videos the girls send..such a wonderful way to 'see' my grandsons in action

The week passes quickly..
One 'job' I have to attend to is to write my report from 'The Chair of the Board ' to go into the Annual school magazine.. I get Tom to take this photo to go with the report.

The school e-newsletter has a lovely photo of Tom and the 'Khopesh' he made as part of his class' Ancient Egypt artifact museum project. He go a special mention.

Lovely to get this photo of Pa on his 87th birthday

Rain is predicted again...so I pick a lovely bunch of my roses before they are ruined by rain. If only you could smell their amazing fragrance

Saturday is Huon Show day...and I am rostered on the St James stand from 10-2. Luckily the wet weather holds off . It is a very enjoyable day...we are positioned smack bang in front of the stage again this year.. great entertaining music..

We sell cuttings the students have potted up..

One of the promo photos is of s young Tom in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden.

Tom's Khopesh is place in the centre of the St James display in the arts and crafts pavilion.
