Wooden Boat Show and the usual routine...

Sunday we make our way into Hobart after breakfast to see the Wooden Boats..
The James Craig is the first to catch our eye...such a splendid restoration..

We spot  a number of the small boats that have made the journey from Rescherche Bay in the RaiD

Fascinating craft of all constructions...

Replica Viking ship that has sailed from Russia
Replica Portuguese caravel..Notorious...

A delightful festive atmosphere...
The Yukon setting sail..
Tom is fascinated by this Sea Shepherd boat..The Bridget Bardot..
We spot a curious rainbow sitting low to the ground..beneath Mount Wellington

Tom has great fum at the Kid's Festival..while we watch the start of the play 'Swallows and Amazons'

Dick Smith lines up to have a go on the Segways..
A very full but interesting day..

The working week begins and there is a definite chill creeping into mornings..
The days are shortening ...especially noticeable in the morning..

Even though Monday is a Public Holiday here for Regatta Day..we open as we have lots of orders in from the mainland. Its nice to see a number of tourists through the shop buying books too.
Finn comes in to play with Tom for the day. They enjoy lego, bike rides, chips for lunch at Red Velvet and some computer time. I drop him home after work.

Tom is glad to be back at school on Tuesday and John and I are again kept busy with orders.
I go to a Meeting with my Garden friends..a Council forum re Access to Town Buildings...a bit tedious...but worth having a say...then go down to garden for about half an hour.
Hannah arrives home in the afternoon...and soon gets a call-up for work at Rockwall that night and for Thurs , Fri and Sat too!!

The week is pretty uneventful...but the weather delightful...although a good steady rain would be most welcome..
Beautiful clouds Wednesday morning...
Lovely evening light and long shadows...

Thursday morning low cloud over Toby's Hill..
Tom enthralled with his Ninjago lego...
Thursday evening...dark skies and late sun make a dramatic view

 Friday morning low tide..
 Another stunning day...
The morning sun picks up the Geraniums next door
Love my fushias...even if they are hidden in the garden..
Saturday is a really hot and sunny day.
Tom is excited to begin his summer sailing program...perfect conditions today.
I enjoy the morning in the garden while John has a read of the paper..
Hannah is sleeping in after another late shift at Rockwall..
We all go down to see Tom sail in...

Its a quiet afternoon...very warm 27 degrees...so we potter in the shop where it is cooler.
I enjoy watching a wedding party arrive at St James at 3.30..

We have our dinner early as Hannah has work again tonight in Hobart. Its so hot we move our table outside and enjoy homemade pizza al fresco.

John , Tom and I go up on the hill and do a walk looking at proposed house  and road position again.
Paul is meeting John on Monday morning to have a look at our new ideas..

It's a lovely evening...
