I awake to the sound of the kettle boiling. Thomas brings me a cuppa (and asks John's help to get breakie too..) What a treat.
We are soon up and about. I go for a bike ride to Martin's Point as my knee is giving me pain at the moment.. (I miss the walking)

The boys get busy stacking the woodpile.
I do some chores then go up the street to do some shopping for dinner.
The boys head out to Nicholl's Rivulet to a Plant Propagation Workshop.
I put on a slow cooking Beef and Red Wine Casserole, make a Cabbage and Bacon soup for lunch and bake a batch of Pistachio/Choc chip biscuits. YUM
The boys return having learnt a few tricks..

We have lunch and a quiet time then head up the hill to cut some Macrocarpa cuttings to propagate.

We swing past the Golf Course on the way back as John wants to get cuttings from the beautiful tree there.
Tom and I walk home (I probably shouldn't have though...my knee hurts)

Monday is a bit cool...
I do a shorter walk today and decide to get to a physio this week.
We have orders to keep us busy all morning.
John begins a tidy-up as we are having a visit from journalist and photographer from The Mercury on Wednesday to do an article on the shop for the Sunday Magazine.
The carpark progresses.
Thomas has an enjoyable night at scouts..
Tuesday is a cold start with a heavy frost.
With the fires going, we are very cosy.
The sun shines once the fog clears, but there is still a chill in the air.
I bake Hannah's birthday cake..a yummy Quince Crumble Cake as she is coming tonight so we will celebrate a day early.
We get though a number of orders during the morning.
I go to see our local physio, Alison, in her new rooms at the Cygnet Medical Centre. A really excellent session...I come away with reduced pain and exercises to follow-up. Very pleased that I can get back to walking soon.
Hannah arrives about 5pm after her last uni day this session.
We all go up to RV soup and social night... a small crowd but the soup is good anyway.
Then home to Cake and cream and Birthday pressies!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH....23 today!
Thomas is keen to play Hannah a special tune that we are learning on the recorder (called Sister Giraffe) He plays it very well.
We get busy doing some orders and a last minute tidy-up of the shop and flat.
Jessica and Roger from The Mercury arrive at 10.30am and spend almost a couple of hours with us ...chatting and taking tacks of photos. They are lovely people and we enjoy showing them around.
We will feature in the Sunday Magazine in 2 weeks time.. (will be interesting to see what Jessica writes!!)
The day passes quickly with more orders and wishing Hannah "Happy Birthday" every time I see her!! She is studying hard.
Thomas arrives in and we do some homework.
Hannah heads back to town to go out with friends tonight.
We are glad to have early dinner and snuggle down with our books before bed.
Thursday is grey but warmer start.
Community Garden this morning. The morning flies by..We harvest the remaining apple tree crops...(Granny Smiths and other varieties). Then we concentrate on weeding the street front garden..It look terrific. Cuppa time and we enjoy a shared feast of locally made goat feta and crackers, savoury muffins, homemade cheese spread and Quince paste and my offering of Quince Crumble Cake..yummy...That's lunch done.
We keep busy all afternoon. Thomas and I learn some more recorder tunes..he is doing so well.
Then it's dinner and a viewing of DVD on Gorillas!!
Friday is mild again...but overcast.
We have a lovely flow of customers throughout the day..locals and visitors. We sell a number of books and other products..
The rain comes across in the afternoon...but it doesn't amount to much really.
Thomas and I get his Scout camp gear together this arvo. He is off to Charlotte Cove tomorrow for an overnight stay.
I go up to the Top Pub for drinks with "the girls" for about an hour. Lovely to catch up with what they are doing. Then it's home to cook dinner and settle in for the night.
Saturday John gets away at about 7.30am to go into Salamanca market book stall.
It's a damp morning.
Thomas enjoys a slower start while I get on with chores.
Then the fun begins. We bake and decorate cup cakes to take to school on Monday (Tom's Birthday).
We are busy all morning...and I just finish the tidy-up when John walks in...Good timing.
We have some lunch and potter about a bit then It's time to take Thomas to camp. He is keen to get there.
John and I go up on the hill for a long walk. Just lovely.
We explore a few side roads on our drive home.
It's very quiet without Thomas...we have a Pizza from RV for dinner and settle in for the night.
