FNQ trip - Part two

Next morning after a good breakie..we head south back to Cairns..

We are off to Green Island today..

Beautiful place..

Its hard to believe it is winter..
We kayak, swim, snorkel, walk, watch fish feeding, star gaze through a telescope and see Saturn's rings clearly..then do a night creature walk...and that's just day one.

Day two..more swimming, snorkelling with colourful fish and even a green turtle..fabulous..
We check out the croc feeding

Day three and Tom is getting homesick...missing Dad.

We have a lovely sit on the quiet beach then Tom has a last dip in the pool before we head back to Cairns..glad I had that ginger tablet...rough trip

We enjoy wandering around Cairns and Tom has a dip in the pool at our accomodation.

The amazing 'lagoon' in the middle  of town where everyone hangs out

Our final morning arrives and we spend it bike riding to the Botanical gardens ...and having a small something to eat there!!

Then it's back along the Esplanade for the last time..

Great view as we fly out

At our Melbourne stop over, a lovely fellow sees me trying to do a selfie...and insists on taking a photo of us

What a fabulous holiday...We are so so so happy to see John and feel the cold Hobart air on our faces..
Sadly my Cairns tan will not see the light of day here though..
