Well, another couple of weeks have flown by...
So again the blog is in need of a quick catch-up..
I am thoroughly enjoying the gorgeous Autumn sunrises..
Although as the weeks go on it is quite dark when I head out for my morning run...and the temperature has been dipping down to 6° C...Shark Skin weather.
He seems to be picking up slowly..
A delight to see Jane and we enjoy lovely takeaway Thai dinner with Libby and Chris.
A great chance to de-brief and download ..
I also squeeze in a wedding dress fitting with Lucy.(Thanks for coming over to Libby's Lucy!)
I head into town at first light on Saturday to meet the boys (who flew up last night)
We have a delicious breakie at 'Pablo and Rusty' then do some shopping..
Back at the hotel...Tom has a dip then it's rest time before the Opera tonight
A delightful walk to the Opera House in the fading late afternoon light
Off to Rozelle Markets..
What fun we had in our little Fiat...
Back home...and John and I manage to get up to look at the house on the hill to see the painting that has begun...exciting..
Spectacular morning light..
It is a huge task..
I format a sticker using Chris' great design...so we can put then in all the books we are selling. Our customer has asked us to do this in order to connect the books to our business...so their guests may then chose to visit us during their Tassie stay.
It is a big job..but very rewarding and enjoyable
Amidst this hectic week we receive a call from our dear friend Brendan.
He and his sin, Ciaran are in Tassie and would love to visit...
Of course we are delighted to see them and thoroughly enjoy their company over the next 2 days.
We have may wonderful conversations about dearest Angie (Brendan's wife who died August last year from a very aggressive cancer..first diagnosed in June).
Brendan has such a gift for sharing such intense emotional/personal stories with such openness.
I feel very privileged to know such an amazing man.
Yes Ciaran really is that tall!!! 6 foot 7..a gorgeous lad of 18years (John's god-son)
Despite the rain pelting down during the afternoon...we manage to go out rowing on Thursday evening...a bit challenging due to the wind...but great fun.
Thanks Nina, Ian ,Bec(and Streaky) and Bob our cox
I am feeling exhausted...and very happy to potter at home at my sewing machine..while the boys go up on the hill to work on trusses for roof of the cubby.
Look...chimneys..
Hebel panels will go up soon
Tom proudly takes me up on the roof for a close-up look at the chimneys
The mobile tool shed.
