(Bit of a delay on this news as I've been under the weather...so the news is a bit patchy too..
Will do better next time I hope..)
The weather is chilling off a bit now Autumn is here.
Thomas enjoys a snuggle of a morning while John reads "Hornblower"
I still struggle with a nasty virus that blocks up my head and makes me very very tired
Lovely boy...haircut time!!
We have a funny brush with fame...in retrospect!!.
I have a sleep during the day as I'm feeling pretty ordinary..
On waking , I mind the shop while John takes the post up.
A couple of customers come in...and all I can think is...go away..I don't feel well and don't want to be disturbed..
But they ask for remedies for cold/flu and diverticulitis ..and I manage to pull myself together and serve them..
Later Talan from the shop TROVE across the road comes over and says...so ...imagine having Helen Garner in the shop eh?...
Well I never....
Thomas is having a great time playing with his lego figures and a big bit of cardboard that came with a shop delivery
Come the weekend..I am determined to get more sewing done..Still not feeling all that great...I find I spend a great deal of time unpicking silly mistakes..
Eventually abandon the sewing to go and see what the boys are up to on the hill...
Looking fabulous...
And there are some whoppers..
Morning Clarinet practise...and I am too unwell to join in...so Tom does a solo with attentive audience..
I hobnob it with the suits as an official invited guest...Deputy Chairperson of the Board you know!!
I meet the new Tas Director of Catholic Ed... John Mula...hailing from Armidale...we get chatting and one thing leads to another...and we find he knows St Joseph's Barraba well...and knows Gillian Unwin... he mumbles something about how Gillian is probably not impressed with him as he seconded the St Joseph's Principal into head office in Armidale..
Can't quite see Tom from my seat but he is there..
The band plays a rousing rendition of Pirates of the Caribbean..
Later in the week John harvests Cichorium to process roots and much down to a compost as part of a 3 year Cultum preparation..
Ha ha about John Mula and Gil. Turns out the relieving principal is a lovely fellow from Ashfield that knows Father Alan Gibson and speaks fondly of Father Michael Walsh, rides his bike around Iron Cove etc
