Time flies again...

Ok...so it has been a while again...and with all that goes into life , I have lost track of the day to day happenings...so I'll just take you through the latest photos and explain along the way...

We begin with signs of Spring in Cygnet. The fruit picking backpackers have started to arrive in their droves...Here a group fill in their paperwork outside the Town Hall next door. Richard and Jan who run Cygnet Southern business take care of the payroll for the workers

Lucy sends through some delightful 'tasters' from her wedding photos...I catch up with the whole collection when in Sydney...just gorgeous...

The house...yes the house on the hill.
The paving is complete..Loki has done a fantastic job.
John has organised for his mate Tom the excavator driver to plonk some rocks near the house.
Impressive eh!!
This one is for my washing basket...on the eastern end of the house

This one is on the western end...John loves his rocks...

Gateway to John's mammoth fencing project.. with spare bricks neatly stacked.

Our new dam is slowly filling....slowly slowly....some rain would't go astray

Oh...this is my secret Southern Swan Yarn Bombing project...
All will be revealed come January...

Take a look at these stunning roses.. in my rose garden on the hill.
Always think of Ma when I see this 'Blue Moon'

 House is looking good...
Still a fair bit of finishing off to do.
Unfortunately we had some issues with the original joiner and the internal fit-out is not complete.
The back-up joiner has suddenly ended up in hospital...an it seems his condition is worse than expected... so poor Paul is looking for joiner number 3 to step in to finish the job.
Needless to say...there will be some delay.
Not to worry...we are grateful to have our good health and will be content to wait...not much else we can do..
 Lovely views..

So then....we dash up to Sydney to attend the beautiful wedding of Jacinta and Ben Cameron.
What an honour to be there to witness such a heartfelt ceremony of commitment to each other.
An what a thrill to see my dearest Pa in attendance ...thanks to the wonderful efforts of dear Jane and Ali

AHHH my darling girls at the wedding...no idea who is bombing the photo

Bonus...we sleep-over at the Goode household...thanks for having us Lucy and Paul.
AND...we have a pre-Christmas breakie with all the family(except Jark who has to work)
..just wonderful

John harvests and processes Elderflower (Sambuccus) to make tincture.

Back up on the hill...more roses bloom

 View from the garage

We do a walk through inspection with Paul to see what has to be completed..
It is coming together...
All very exciting..
Our storage items will be delivered on 11 December...so we can slowly go through and sort them.

I attend a Board Meeting/ Christmas dinner...the rose garden out front of St James is magnificent.

Back to work and John whips up a Catarrh cream...such luscious aromas

We are gearing up for Matthew's book launch next week.
Sadie has been in and we have talked though the planning..hope the weather picks up a bit.

 The weekend rolls around...
Can't believe this time last week we were heading to Sydney for the wedding..
Saturday we are up and on the road at 3.30am...heading north to do an aqua Sphagni harvest
We arrive about 6.30am and I'm glad to be official photographer...and keep dry..

 Weird but arty slip shot...

All done and packed up..
Time for a walk... a brisk one...

Because it is only just 7am and very very ciold

We head back and stop at New Norfolk to enjoy a well earned breakfast and have a delightful potter around the old wares and antiques in town..

I begin to feel a bit weary..so find a cosy corner in the antique shop

Just happen to have my crochet with me

We have a delightful quiet evening at home watching Tom's latest favourite DVD series.
The Musketeers

Sunday and we get to work on the hill.
John does fencing, Tom mows and I brush cut..
Narns and Jark arrive after lunch and give a hand..

Lucy and Paul's pressie is in place..quack

Love this paved area and wall out south
 Mowed orchard area

Oh...I get into strife while brushcutting going down a hole and hurting my ankle...ice fixes it pretty much..
We enjoy having Narns and Jark stay for the afternoon and share dinner with us...then glad to get to bed after a productive weekend

My sitting corner...surrounded by baskets of wool...heaven
I struggle to get this poster up on the window...it has been blowing a gale this week..
Snow down to 500 metres tomorrow...top of 10° C in Cygnet.. love Spring in Tassie!!
