Long time between blogs..

Well it has been a long long time...
My only excuse is that I injured my back and the last 2 weeks have been long and slow recovery-wise..Thankfully I'm just about right again..and being very cautious...might even begin running again tomorrow..
Anyway...here go the highlights..
So going right back...Thomas was delighted to receive a postcard from the Goodes...posted underwater!! His seal friend is impressed too.

John's potentising work ..one morning..lovely colours

And the owls keep coming..

..as do the bunting...

Here is where my troubles began. Saturday morning before heading up to Sydney for Jacinta's Kitchen Tea, I thought I'd do a spot of weeding. The boys had gone into Hobart to do some shopping and see a Movie...The Martian..
I got to work tugging the wire cages off the plants so I could weed and mulch...
I was hard work ..but at the time I was ok...only later did my back flare up..

 Great view from Tom's place....

So ...to Sydney..and I have a delightful stay-over with Libby and Tim.
Delicious meal and great company.
Sunday morning, I make my way over to Burwood to visit dear Pa. So wonderful to give him a big hug...I have quite a long visit as he is keen to show me the grounds of the hospital..Good to see him in a better state than my last visit.

I train it to St Leonards and Lucy picks  me up at North Sydney..perfect timing. She looks stunning..and what a tan she has brought back from her honeymoon

The Gunners is looking pretty impressive on such a gorgeous Sydney day.

And these women are gorgeous too...

The blushing bride to be...so beautiful...so exciting..
Gemma has collated  and printed up a personalised Vegetarian Cook book with entries from Jac's family and friends. Jacinta is thrilled

The one and only lovely mother of the bride...what a treat to be here to share this day

Oh and the High tea was pretty good too!! Great idea Gemma.
Congratulations on such a successful day

Spotted this uninvited guest ..

 What a view..

Then we took a wander 'through the woods' picking up treasures along the way...so much planning ...so much fun..Ending up at East Coast Lounge..where the stayers had drinks..
 Ellie and Lucy playing...
 Mrs Goode and me

I had a lift back with Chris and spent a lovely couple of hours seeing with Liv and her beautiful Ryan, Becky, Ben and boys, Ellie, Jim and Raph...and Chris and Dewayne.  Delightful bedlam..

Then back to Libby's for the night and an early start to get my 7.30am flight on Monday.
Straight back into a very bust day at work...I did have a Nanna nap in the afternoon..

It's a cold 11 degrees..bit of a contrast to Sydney weather.
John goes up on the hill after work...his usual routine now..
I go up when Tom goes to work..just for a look...brrr

 Fence line is coming along..
Love this view of Port Cygnet//
Things are busy at Southern swan.
Fundraising for scouts...selling books for $1.00
Promoting the CWA Yarn Bombing project.
Advertising Bob Brown book launch..

Just love this Crandon family shot...thanks Jess!!

The week passes..(somewhat uncomfortably for me)...stiff and sore.

Saturday 31st arrives and tom is off to pre-Jamboree camp..very excited.
John drops him to the camp site just this side of Hobart.
I'm on duty all day at the St James School fair...on the BBQ stall with Board members.
I think Tom's teacher Jaqui drew the sort straw with the fairy floss stall...she gets the hang of it though...
By the end of the day she is covered in pink sugary  floss...what a trooper.

We are blessed with a good day...

Glad to get home and collapse!!

Sunday, John and I have coffee and Chai at the Lotus...just because we can!! Lovely

John goes up on the hill and I finish off prep for the Book launch..
Then I go for a walk to have a stretch...lovely lovely

The launch goes well.
Peter George does a great job of introducing Bob and Paul

Great to see a good crowd..

Then Paul and Bob relay a few anecdotes from their travels...wonderful

Book sales go well with proceeds going to Bob Brown Foundation's campaign to save the Tarkine.

Hannah surprises me by arriving in time to help with catering...serving drinks and nibbles..
Then cooks up a feast of a pre Birthday dinner...and she and Jark give me a book on Tea and some delicious tea too...how lucky am I!!

Tom is dropped back from camp and is so excited about receiving his Tassie Contingent shirt for Jamboree

My darling friend Tereza comes to the launch and brings me some birthday flowers...

Monday is a very chilly day reaching.. 8 degrees!!
I have a lovely birthday. The boys have the breakfast table set when I get back from a slow waddle.
We have a lovely breakie and I receive some lovely pressies..
I receive messages and phone calls ...wonderful to feel so loved.

Linda , Mark and Connor send this exquisite teapot..

Love it!! And the card too!!
 A frosty start on Tuesday..

The birthday wishes keep coming...thanks Lucy and Paul..

 Thursday is knitwit night..
Sandra is doing these stunning shapes..love the colours..

John takes some photos from out the front of the shop...looks so cosy.
We have a lot of laughs and enjoy each other's company...and the local gossip too.

Lisa brings me these beautiful roses from her garden..

Friday I give the huon table a long overdue oil..

Marty sends this from Melk...yarn bombing is all the rage!!

Saturday..we go up on the hill. Tom is fascinated by big Tom's truck.

Loki has done an amazing job of  paving our northern shelter area..

The house feels like it is slowly coming together..

 Laundry cupboards..
And we have another wood pile to move..
A good test of my trusty back brace...and I'm very careful...

Even manage some fencing with Tom's assistance

John is such a busy beaver..working on his fantastic gateway..

We all enjoy a quiet evening at home watching the first two episode of The Musketeers..
I think Tom is hooked!!

Sunday is Burton's Reserve Open Day.
The boys head down at 7am to set up the scout hurdy gurdy and flying fox...
I go into Hobart to get some shopping done.
I go down to Burton's when I get back and am delighted to see my bunting decorating the newly renovated Bridge Cottage...home of Cygnet CWA.

Tom and his mates on the hurdy gurdy..
Locals enjoying the band and sunshine..

And this is my absolute favourite Jacob photo (this week)
