Rain...well a bit anyway...Libby and Tim must be coming to town!!
We had a fabulous visit from Libby and Tim (after their 3 Capes Walk) .
Such fun to just hang out at home and get on with some jobs.
Libby, Tim and I did a walk about the property on Friday while we waited for John and Tom to get home from work..
Hannah is here for dinner and a catch up... we have a lovely evening
On Saturday the boys went into Huonville to the hardware , while Libby and I stayed home and went on a thistle hunt.
Rain showers came and went through the morning..
We enjoyed a yummy lunch and then the boys got stuck into Tom's Eyrie (cubby) construction...getting windows in place.
Libby enjoyed a go on the mower too!!
A delightful evening spent together.
John and Tom teach Libby and Tim Brandi Dog
Sunday we go down to have a look at Cygnet Market..then on to Ranelagh to go to the Small Farm Expo.
Tom loves the Husky dogs
They are pretty gorgeous
I love seeing all the animals..
More lovely animals..
We do a last walk together around the back streets of Ranelagh, then Libby and Tim have to head to the airport. Was so special having them visit.
The Easter week is a very busy one.
We are flat out with orders to do...Monday to Wednesday..
I have a School Board meeting on Monday night. I dash home for a couple of hours..The forestry burning is creating a spectacular smoke cloud.
Tuesday afternoon I head into Hobart as I've been asked to join a Community Conversation on Louise Saunder's ABC Drive program on' Living off the grid'. It was a very interesting experience being in the ABC studio ..I don't think I sounded too dopey!! John had a listen.
Love the Autumn weather we are having now.
Before we know it Thursday arrives and Tom arrives home for Easter Holiday break.
I'm very glad to head home as I am not feeling 100%.
The boys get stuck into serious Eyrie construction..
I take the opportunity to do quite a bit of sleeping and pottering....Bliss
I find it so lovely to be at home on the hill.
I make the decision not to bolt up the hill to watch the sun dance on Easter Sunday...and opt for a gentle welcome to the joyous day watching the sun's rays slowly light up the hill from my window. (cuppa in hand...ahhhh)
We have some unexpected visitors...they don't stay long...Must hear me sharpening the carving knives
Narns and Jark come over on Easter Sunday and gave a hand with the construction.
Narns and I did a bit of techi business getting the handsfree bluetooth sorted in my car.
We unsuccessfully searched for the missing leg of the BBQ stand in the shed of packed boxes yet to be sorted....very disappointing.
Oh well...we enjoy a yummy dinner together and a game of Brandi Dog ensues.
There is a pause in proceedings while John, Tom, Narns and Jark go Wallaby/Pademelon hunting. Our new fenced paddock garden is almost complete so John thought it time to try and chase the nibbly critters out. They managed to fan out and chase a Wallaby out...but the Pademaelons were just to clever...and fast!!.
We'll have to devise a fence funnel to get them going the way we want without cutting sideways at the last moment!!
Easter Monday and Tom is going to a Scout Fun day at Randall's Bay to kayak etc.
John and I are in the shop as we are hosting a "Handmade in Cygnet" event...part of the Art Trail running over Easter weekend.
The Cygnet Wrtiers give readings and have afternoon tea from 2-4pm.
We don't get a huge roll-up...but it is a lovely afternoon.
