Life..

Well, life has a way of surprising you..
The past weeks have taken me from work in the garden , sewing jobs at home and working week in Cygnet to Sydney again.

I spent a lovely weekend clearing around my gorgeous roses..They are waking up after the long winter.

John, Tom and I also spent a morning hand leveling an area of ground that Rohan has smoothed out with his excavator.

The clouds come over..

Apples are blossoming

I finish off another Palliative Care gown and iron them all up. The Port Cygnet CWA will be presenting them to Pallliative Care unit in Hobart soon.
Three of us worked on these gowns...

I make a dash to Sydney. Lucy has had a setback and ends up in hospital for a surgical procedure.
Luckily Hannah is there already..so between us we look after Lucy and Bailey...sleeping at the hospital (I get the best recliner chair...poor Hannah gets the dud chair...but suffers in silence)
It is such a privilege to witness my gorgeous daughters during this time..
Lucy stoically handles horrific pain and discomfort  and with her bub just 3 weeks old remains focused and determined to breast feed him throughout...remarkable.
Hannah tends to Lucy's needs and nurses her with such gentleness and grace..I am in awe.
I have the unexpected delight in spending so much time with my new grandson..I will treasure the precious memories of walking the deserted corridors of the hospital in the wee small hours with a sleepless Bailey.

Finally we get the ok to go..Lucy is uncomfortable...but glad to be heading home
The nursing staff have been wonderful...

I spend a glorious Saturday morning with the Goodes and Hannah, then head off to the airport..

It's action stations , with the Annual Scout Garage Sale on tomorrow...
So I head straight to the hall and give John a hand with last minute set up.

Sunday is unfortunately a wet one...we are lucky to be indoors.

Sales are ok...but the crowd is down on previous years..
By the end of the day...the grand total is around $7,000 or so.
We pack up the left over books and will get them brought around to the shop to sell out the front throughout the year....lots of boxes...lucky we have the flat area to store them.

Beautiful morning rainbow on Monday

The Red Velvet Lounge is going to re-open this Friday under new ownership..
Isabel and Joe are going to be doing Vegetarian meals...can't wait.

They are also going to have the occasional performance.
We have booked to see Mic Conway in October

I notice The Black Sorrows are playing th Cygnet Town Hall the very same night!!
It's all happening here

Thomas performs his first solo gig at school as part of their week long focus on Music /Arts.
It is during lunchtime so I don't get to see him...but he appears on  the St James facebook page

I chair the  School Board meeting Monday night... always something going on...I missed last month's meeting due to Bailey's early arrival

On my drive home I notice it is a dark starry night...so do some Aurora chasing..
Love the varying colours that come up with longer exposures.. such a thrill to see. So spectacular

The week is spent getting all ship shape in the shop as we head up to Sydney on the weekend so the boys can fly out to Hong Kong.. very exciting
