Back into the routine

Hannah and I had a lovely day touring the Tasman Peninsula on Saturday.
We walked , drove and explored lots of different locations...spectacular sights.
Got back to town in time for a quick change and some dinner together before Hannah went o work.
I slept well that night..

The rain began to fall just as I got home and it didn't stop!!
Sunday was a wild, wet day...very dismal for the market goers.
I made a slow cooked dinner and did some last minute tidying before heading to town to o a few things before going to the airport.
The boys returned on Sunday evening...had a fabulous time..
We enjoyed looking at their photos and hearing some of their stories.

Back in Sydney ...waiting for Dymocks to open!!!

Monday and  its back into it again...
I have to abort my morning run as there are too many puddles...and it's too dark for me to see where they are!!
Tom is off to school and John and I are head down with orders all day. Glad he is back to share the workload today!!
John makes and Arnica Cream too..
Scouts is cancelled tonight due to the rain/flooding..
Tom and I take a walk down to Burton's reserve to look at the raging creek..

Then Tom decides to have a climb next door...

Cosy night in...

Tuesday and I go up the street this morning to avoid the puddles today..
We have orders to start the day. John fills the Arnica Cream the gets on to make a Rose Cream.. I label and pack the Arnica once the orders are done.
I go over to help out with Thomas' class in the afternoon. They are rehearsing 'Tiddalick" play for a NAIDOC assembly on 5th Aug.
After school we spend  quite a while going through the boys' photos...deleting and cropping to cull them down to 230 or so!!
A lovely quiet night at home... I do a whip around to tidy things as we are having a visit tomorrow by a journalist from Artichoke Magazine (an architectural publication) Ryan is coming over to be here for the interview too.

Wednesday and the rain has stopped.. I can get around my usual track today...no huge puddles to navigate ..it's lovely out..quite mild. Too hot to wear my sharkskin.
We get started on some orders and John fills the Rose cream while I spend a good hour with Ryan and the woman from Artichoke.
After lunch I go into Huonville to pick up my new glasses...a different look...
We have a cosy night in...

Thursday a stunning sunrise...
and it's back to garden today. Moving barrow loads of mulch.. a big morning..and slow going..but rewarding . Liz, Jo and I manage to move the chooks..quite a feat with only 3 people.

We have a number of visitors through the shop... it's a nice atmosphere.
Beautiful afternoon light..

Tom goes to play on the oval after school..
We have a quiet evening at home ...and some of a Mega fauna DVD ..Thomas is captivated..

Friday is another beautiful sunrise...

I head into Hobart this morning to chase up more tile samples and do further research for our house plans... We want to be prepared when the time comes to move forward (it will come one day...we tell ourselves!!)
John has a reasonably quiet morning at the shop.
The afternoon passes quickly...finishing up some late orders.
We tidy up a bit after school in preparation for a visit from Tom's best school friend  from Sydney...Jahan and his mum Dayan are coming down in the morning..
After dinner I go up to an event at The Old Bank ..Jasmine and friend Kylie are hosting a "Veducci" fashion party...re are  not a lot of us there...and mostly the clothes are not to my taste...but it is a nice social occasion to meet a few new people... I do end up buying a coat that is sold for half price as it is the last one there and a small size!!

Saturday another stunner...

Tom and I drive to Hobart to pick up Jahan and Dayan.
Tom and Jahan take up conversation in the back of the car, as though they have not had time apart..
We show them round the premises, have a cuppa them walk around town.

After lunch, we go up on the hill and the boys enjoy tree climbing and running about while we have a leisurely walk.

Then it's back to Cygnet to have afternoon tea at Red Velvet.
We wander home and Dayan prepares to get the bus back into town while Jahan stays over-night with us.
The boys enjoy playing in Tom's room, doing some computer work and going out to the oval to look for more 'wand' making sticks.
We have dinner and the boys get into PJs and watch some of a Harry Potter movie before going to bed... They are pretty quiet by 9.30am...must be worn out from the day!!

Sunday and they boys are up about 6.45am...
We have breakie about 8 ish then they decide to go across to the oval again.
I get on with washing/ironing while John reads and has a coffee..
The boys come back then go up to RV for a hot chocolate.
We all go up on the hill for an hour or so. The boys head off with a walkie/talkie...we have the other one. It works well. John and I explore the western side of the property while the boys roam about climbing trees (checking in with us every so often)..

Back home for lunch a bit more of a play together...then we all drive into Hobart to pick up Dayan and drop them to the airport... A fun visit for the boys.
We head home and enjoy a quiet read before preparing dinner...
An early night for all...
