A touch of Spring in the air..

We have had a mix of weather and work this week.
The week began with very mild overnight temp of 12 degrees...
By Thursday we had a frost again....but the sun shone and the day looked sparkly.
Tom going back for another load of wood before school..

We had some busy days and some very quiet days.
I have nursed a very painful shoulder/ arm most of the week...(the result of my gung-ho mulch barrowing at Community Garden last week....ouch)
Beautiful sunrises this week..

John kindly looked after the shop on Wednesday morning so I could have a couple of hours walking up on the hill in the lovely sunshine...just heavenly..

The carpark was sealed this week and the fences came down.. A functional area it may be...but it makes me mourn the loss of the lovely country laneway we had.

Thursday is sunny despite the cold start...and I enjoy a morning in the garden...(NOT wheel-barrowing today!!) Kate cuts up a large pumpkin that has self seeded in the poly tunnel and share it out between us.

It's lovely to have a visit from Hannah on Friday night. We enjoy a baked dinner and the boys show her their photos from The Centre...

Saturday is a leisurely start..John cleans out his car while Hannah and Thomas take advantage of the new carpark...a great bike track circuit..

then we go up on the hill to cut back gorse...will have to poison it eventually.. John does most of the hard yakka...Hannah and I collect 3 boxes of kindling then I go down the paddock and chip thistles while Tom and Hannah have a bit of an explore.
It is a gorgeous sunny day..but chilly as there is snow on the mountains across the river..

Back home for a late lunch...a quiet afternoon of reading/lego.
Hannah heads off back to town to work in the evening.
We have a cosy night in watching some pretty bad tourist type DVD's John picked up in NT..what a pity..we had hoped to show Lioba..but they are embarrassingly bad.
