Two days of Spring...then back to winter!!

Monday passes quickly with orders to do...its so chilly out today. We have the fires going..Hannah comes down after her exam this morning and spends the afternoon studying.
Tom enjoys scouts...and Hannah cooks dinner as a belated birthday treat for me...

Tuesday is a sparkling morning..

John has an early dental appointment so I mind shop..while Hannah does last minute study out the back.
I go and help out in Tom's room this afternoon. Preparing the room for the 'Disco' that will be held during the fair on Saturday...great excitement for year 4!!
Tom has tennis after school so I walk up to get him..lovely sky today..

.. then its home to prepare dinner and then go to choir..

Wednesday is a warm one...predicted 25 degrees!!
Tom is going to Huonville  for district Carnival to run in the relay team today... good day for it..
We are busy with orders during the morning...then I take a leisurely stroll up to the post office...on the sunny side of the street...lapping up the warm sunshine.
John potentises a powder...

By lunchtime things have gone quiet..so I take a walk down to Martin's Point to enjoy the lovely warm day.

It's lovely to have to shop doors wide open today, letting in the breeze (and blow flies!!)
Tom arrives in..hot and bothered...but with a 2nd place ribbon for the relay...well done

We tackle some homework before he goes to work . I bake a cake for the fair and after dinner have a walk around town in the balmy evening.

Thursday..and wouldn't you know it...the rain is back...

John and Tom enjoy a morning game before school...

I go down to garden and with encouragement from dear Jo, we stick it out and end up having a productive weeding morning followed by a tasty meal together..
John has sold a lot of books during the morning but the afternoon is pretty quiet at the shop ...so I get out my knitting and John has a snooze.
A few customers and orders finish the day.
I help Tom get started on some secret 'Christmas' business and we learn a new recorder piece then I set up the shop for 'Knitwit" night.
Eight women attend with their various knitting/ stitching projects..we share conversation and a cuppa..a nice night

Friday is another cool one..

Can't believe Sydney is expecting 37 degrees today...we will be lucky to see 11 degrees!! We have a number of orders that keep us busy during the morning.
The rain starts to fall late morning and we are very glad to have the fires going.
(Not looking good for school fair tomorrow)
John and Thomas go down to a Scout anniversary dinner while I stay home and snuggle down for the night.

Saturday and it has pelted with rain a lot of the night.
Luckily we have a reasonable day with the occasional down pour..then it clears again.
I go over about 8.45am and spend the day working on the BBQ/Hot chips stall with the other Board members. We do a good trade...and are fortunate to be under cover and out of the chill wind.
Thomas has a fabulous day hanging out with mates..(we decide he can give Sailing a miss today as he is so keen to be at the fair).
 The BBQ stall..

 Curry ladies....

John is happy with book he picks up at the Book stall.
Tom later tells me of the cow pat lotto they had set up on the oval..an area was marked out in sections with numbers...and then a cow was put into the area and.... well you can probably figure out the rest..
I get home about 3.30 after cleaning up..
We enjoy a quiet sit for a bit then, when Tom gets in from work, we go up on the hill for a short walk as the afternoon is bright and sunny..It is really cool...but lovely none the less.
Tom enjoys playing with his bow and arrow...a find at the fair..

Home to dinner and 'Lord of the Rings'.

Sunday is a brighter start..
The boys drop me up on King's Hill so I can have a walk...they are heading to Burton's Reserve to help scouts set up for Family Fun Day.

John works on the hurdy-gurdy all day...putting helmets on children...
Thomas has a great time helping and playing..
I go into town to a Vintage Fair ...a bit disappointing...not so many clothes as last time...

Then catch up with Hannah for a cuppa and visit her new accommodation..great view..

Back home and after Tom is back from work we walk down to Burton's so Tom can have a play...it is bitterly cold!!

Glad to head back to a cosy fire..
