A routine week..

Monday begins with another glorious sky.

We have a busy day in the shop and Tom enjoys his day at school.
First scouts of the term tonight..and they do 'Boomerang' work.
John and I drop Tom off and go up on the hill.
We walk the planned driveway track to confirm that's where we want it to go..
The we head back down to 'Puddleglum' forest to follow the boundary fence (see yellow track) ..it goes down the gully further than we thought. Lovely bush.

A cosy night at home.

Tuesday is a grey morning..

We have another busy day. While I get on with orders, John harvests some Belladonna berries so he can collect the seeds.

He fills and packs a Thuja Oint he made on Monday afternoon , then makes a Viscum Eucalypti cream using the tincture made from our recent harvest...Stunning silky green colour.

The day passes..we sell a few books too..
Tom arrives in after another great day at school.
We do some more work on our North Qld project...focusing on Cairns today.
Then Tom heads off to work..
We have early dinner as I have a Board Meeting at School at 6.30..sadly missing Swansong choir tonight. Nice to catch up with everyone and hear about the progress of building works. We do a bit of a tour and check out the newly opened Canteen..

Wednesday is very grey..

We get on with morning chores as usual..
I harvest some raspberries from our garden before the predicted rain comes today.

A busy morning of orders to start the day. John gets to work on a batch of Sphagnis..
Hannah arrives at lunch time...so lovely to see her...it has been about 5 weeks since we saw her last..
We chat as I pack orders..she does shopping for dinner and goes over to meet Tom.
Tom is delighted to see her!!
His big news today is that he had a try-out for school band and is going to take up the Clarinet this year..He is so excited!!.
The afternoon passes with some chatting with Hannah, homework, Tom goes off to work and Narns and I do a walk around town.

Tom demonstrates his archery skills to Narns before delicious dinner she prepared for us.

We all enjoy some 'Ranger' then Hannah and I watch a chick flick out in the shop before bed..

Thursday is a grey start. It has rained quite heavily during the night.
Hannah and I go down to garden this morning..
We have a lovely time harvesting plums and blackberries. Other jobs get done...weeding and planting out broccoli, harvesting beans etc..

We enjoy a feast together at midday...
Back at the shop things have gone quiet for the afternoon...so I stew up our plum harvest. We are really enjoying the plums on our cereal each morning..

Tom arrives in after school to find his beloved penguin 'Paddle' in a precarious position!!

Darling Hannah cooks up a delicious dinner...Beef stew and Dumplings ..before she heads off to work. We have our dinner when Tom gets in from work then get ready for another Dance practice night in the Town hall..Lots of fun.. (except Tom has fallen over at school today and has a nasty graze on his knee...so he sits out a lot of the dances)

Friday is a really busy day in the shop.
The day passes quickly and somehow 'Paddle' gets caught up in the packing of orders!!

I go up to the pub for drinks with the girls.
Tom is hard at work drawing some Alien designs when I get back.

We have a nice quiet night.

Saturday and John heads off to Hobart early to get a winch to use up on the hill
The sky look threatening...but it is quite warm out.

Tom is excited to be trying out his new wetsuit today at sailing this morning.

I spend a couple of hours cleaning and tidying...a thankless task!...but things do look better and John even notices!!
We have a relaxed afternoon. John and I go down to Community garden and pick more plums..

Tom and I go over to the school oval to see the Hawthorn Hawks AFL players who are visiting for an hour or so..(big deal!?!)

I bake Lucy's famous Pork and Apple Sausage rolls for dinner..Yummo.

We watch a DVD John found at the Tip Shop...Disney's Treasure Island.. good old fashioned family entertainment!.
I enjoy watching Poirot before bed.

Sunday is a beautiful day.
I bake a kugelholf for Tom's lunch box...but it starts to disappear..

We head up onto the hill to do some tree cutting..

John takes the opportunity to give Tom his first driving lesson... he manages well and drives across the home paddock ridge..

We intend to go down into Puddleglum Forest to winch up the logs we cut last week...but realise John forgot to pack the winch handle..oops. Never mind...Thomas gets to work cutting a tree down with his little tomahawk...and John fells another tree with the chainsaw...I stand about feeling useless for awhile...then decide to walk up to the shed site and get a fire going to cook lunch..

Tom has a mishap as he goes about finding kindling.. He scratches his eyelid quite badly..poor fellow. He is quite upset as he got a shock..luckily his eye is not damaged. After a good cuddle and some chocolate biscuits..we find some sunglasses in the car and he settles down and enjoys a quiet sit for a bit.

Yummy BBQ sausages are delicious lunch.

John gets on with cutting down the dead Macropcarpa trees on the edge of the shed site.. I help where I can..Tom comes good again and gets busy chopping away..a good crew!!.

We call it quits at about 3ish and Tom drives back across to the gate..very pleased with himself..

Tom goes off to work..(with some ice-cream money!!...quite hot today)
John has a snooze and I stew up the plums we harvested yesterday...9 jars!!
We are glad to have a quiet evening...
I walk the Golf Course circuit before settling in for Downton Abbey Series 4.
