Short Week

Tuesday Tom ,Connor and I get away by 7.30am to head to the airport..
Connor is delivered and bags checked though with no dramas..we say our farewells and leave Connor to await his first of 2 flights home to Adelaide.. Thanks for coming all this way Connor!! Was terrific.
I drop Thomas in town to stay overnight with Hannah..he is very excited! They should have fun.
Back at work, John and I process orders most of the day, John also makes a Hypericum/Calendula cream. We also see a number of tourists through the shop and sell a few books.
Hannah sends some photos of their outing...games and bowling...and surprise surprise...lego!
After work, John and I go up on the hill...we rug up as the wind is chilly. We work until it is too dark to see what we are doing..

Back home , we have delicious hot lentil/chicken curry..left overs!! Yummo.
A lovely quiet night of reading ...then early bed...after a goodnight call from our boy..

Wednesday...and I am loving the Autumn sunrises..

John potentises medicines while I do some ironing, washing and cut up Quinces for slow bake..
After breakie, we head into work...lots of orders to tackle. John fills and seals the cream tubes while I do the orders.
Lots of people through the shop again today..
Hannah and Tom arrive back from town mid afternoon.. they have had a busy couple of days..
John goes up on the hill to do a bit more work.
Hannah and I chat for a while before she heads home again.
Tom goes to work...and I do some chores.

Early dinner and a quiet read before early bed for all...a chilly night ..

Thursday is grey and wet.

I have already decided not to go to garden today... got quite a few things to get done at work today..
Pretty miserable morning anyway..
We have some orders and a number of customers to keep us busy.
Tom goes down to garden at 11am to catch up with his mate, Riley.
The rain comes and goes all day..and it is a cold day out.
Tom packs his gear for scout sleep-over tonight...ready for Anzac Dawn service tomorrow.

We are up before dawn to see the scouts march up the street.

A very moving service as always. Very simple and respectful. A good thing for Thomas to experience and be part of.

Back to the hall for a cuppa and a bit of a chat...then John and I head up on the hill to work for a couple of hours.

We return in time to see the scouts assemble for the 11am March and service..

John and I then have a cuppa at RV.

I go up to hear the last of the service...very chilly in the breeze.

John picks up Tom from the scout hall and after lunch and a short rest we head up onto the hill to do a bit more..
We are just driving onto the propertyabout 2pm when I get a phone call...but not the one I expect...
