Heading to Christmas ....

We see the sunshine less and less this week.. by the weekend we are back to wintery  13°C max..

I bake in preparation for Scout Jamboree fundraising at Market day..

The sun shines again on Tuesday morning....but it doesn't last..

After choir on Tuesday night we do a little Chrismas tree hunting and find a beauty..(maybe a bit of trimming needed John!)

 That's better....
Wednesday is the Primary end of year concert..
Cecil B de M would have been appreciative of this extravaganza..

A beautiful production telling the Advent/Christmas Story..
I delighted to see the Year 6 students helping out the Kinder/Preps..
Joseph and Mary have a 'moment'....

There is my Roman soldier Tom in the foreground..
 Herod steals the show...very impressive..
 Such darling shepherds and sheep
 And those angels...

Wise men of course..

The whole Primary on stage in our new Multi Purpose Hall...a fantastic sight

Just can't resist a photo of those beautiful roses...bringing colour to another grey day.

Narnie surprises us and comes down to help decorate the tree...Tom is so excited!!

 Ah....pretty
Thursday at garden...(I very nearly don't go...as the day begins with showers)
I enjoy taking some close ups

That evening I am celebrating Christmas with the Friday night Pub drinks girls...
Resort wear theme...except Tereza and I are the only two in costume as it is freezing cold..

We all bring a plate to share at Vicki's place...amazing view..
(By the way...Vicki has just completed her DE ..Bachelor of Archaeology at Oxford..
What a woman!)

Friday evening we attend the launch of the Happiness Project- Cygnet Stories..
Fantastic animations and short films made by local children and artists..

The model of Cygnet made by the local Primary school children as a basis for their animations is on display..Tom take lots of photos..It is pretty amazing

Swansong provide ambiance as guests arrive..

More Tom photos...

He liked this one as it shows the Garden Larder where he works..

 Mid-winter Lantern Parade

My friend Gai who ran the project with the assistance of Kickstart..
The stories will be online  on Kickstart website..in a couple of weeks..worth a look.

We go up on the hill on Saturday despite the cold...and get a bit done..

Tom is making up a work bench for the cubby construction site..

Sunday John and I take turns at the scout fundraising stall.
Matthew and Isabel's mum Jane is brilliant at spriuking the crowd...we sell all the treats and lots of raffle tickets too.

It is a terrific market despite the cold cold day.

Just love to sit next to my lovely tree ...
Corner post on the verandah goes up on Monday..
The preparations for getting the roof on have been delayed due to the rain..
It will go up the week of Jan 4 2015
 Ah again....

Repairs to RVL roof underway. The start of a long period of re-construction

Visitors will be here in a couple of days
I go to check on the Benjamin's cot only to find...a crocodile!! .....JOHN!!!!!!
