Before long Thomas arrives in from school. After a snack, he gets started on his homework...interviewing me re my favourite childhood books. We have a really enjoyable time talking about our favourite books and why we like them. He has to write up the answers in sentences...in running writing!!..He does a beautiful job of it...
Off to scouts and we walk down together while John fills a cream he has made today..
I do a bit of a circuit across the bridge and along the Esplanade then home..Its nice to spy a lone duck on the creek.
Dinner after scouts ,then all too soon (for Tom)..its time for bed.
Tuesday and its a grey start but a warm day of 15 degrees predicted.
And sure enough, the sun comes out...
After getting a number of orders underway, I go down to the Community garden.
There is still alot of water lying around ..but we can continue pruning the trees.
Its all hands on deck to relocate the chooks.. then various tidy up jobs.
We share a cuppa and a range of home-cooked goodies that everyone brings along..yummy.

Social night at RV tonight. We enjoy soup and good conversation then I head over to school with Cate to a Board Meeting in the library. Its a long meeting as usual, but we have a very enjoyable time together.
Wednesday and its a bit rainy as I head out so I walk up the street instead. The trees have been pruned harshly and look very unattractive at the moment.
Today is Book Week Assembly for Thomas. They are all dressing up as their favourite character or champion.. so Tom is going as Harry Potter. He has been looking forward to it..and really looks the part.
We get on with orders through the morning..then John goes across to the assembly at 11.30.
We coast through the afternoon. Ryan comes over at 4pm with Arlo. We talk house plans while the boys have a play together. Its a good afternoon together.

They arrive home about 9-ish full of praise for the fantastic camaraderie at the hall ... we soon head to bed as we have a big day tomorrow.
Saturday and we head into town . John and Tom go to the Book Sale for the last time. I am dropped in Hobart to do some shopping..Its a busy morning for us all. We are very glad to meet up at lunchtime and enjoy a rest and some lunch. We drive home via Snug so John can pick up some Equisetum plants from the nursery there..
On the way we stop at the abandoned garden at Kingston where a Larch tree is growing. John wants to inspect it to see if the sap is flowing..There is definitely sign of spring growth.
We stop at Huonville for a box of apples...
The wattles are all flowering and are a beautiful sight as we pass them on the roadside...especially wonderful as we drive down the valley into Cygnet.
We unload the car then drive up on the hill to collect some sticks...the weather looks like it is changing...and the wind is really whipping up..but its breathtaking to be out.
