Spring is coming (and so is Lioba)

Monday is surprisingly mild outside. Still cool inside!
There is a Creative Hands Expo in Cygnet Town Hall today.. Lots of (Very Tasmanian) crafts on display...and some things for sale too.

We have a busy day of orders which is good as John and I are really tired today...good to keep busy.
Thomas enjoys scouts as usual.
I bake a Susi's chocolate cake to prepare for Lioba's birthday celebration when she arrives on Friday evening.
We make up Tom's bed in our room so we can prepare his room for Lioba. He decides to sleep in his new spot tonight.

Tuesday and it is a stunning sunrise..

We have another busy day and sell a number of books too.
I decide not to go over to school this afternoon as I want to go into town tomorrow instead.
I have a school Board Meeting which is long...as we haven't met for about 2 months due to holiday break..

Wednesday I head into Hobart early to do some Birthday shopping for Lioba and Jess.
It is a challenge to buy only Australian made goodies for Lioba...but I manage to get a few things together.

Hannah meets me for a quick coffee before Uni...really lovely to see her.
Back to work and there are orders to be completed..
Before long Thomas is home..
We tidy Lioba's room and John helps me finish off Lioba's birthday cake...

A quiet night ..

Thursday and it is so warm today. I really enjoy garden today. We weed and move the chooks then enjoy a feast at morning tea. Lots of participants today..a real joy

More orders to do when I get back.
We get through our homework and various chores.
The boys give Lioba's room a final touch!!

We enjoy an early dinner so we can watch 'Red Dog' It gets lots of belly-laughs from Thomas!! (and a few tears at the end)

Friday is an early start as we drive John to the airport.

He is going to Sydney to bring Lioba back...so exciting . He plans to visit Sandra on the way back to the airport.. That will be lovely for them all.
The day passes and all goes well with the travellers arriving on time.
We celebrate Lioba's birthday with cake and pressies...then it's bed time.

Saturday is a leisurely start.. We breakfast then go up on the hill for a long lovely walk in the glorious day. Very enjoyable.

Then home and lunch at Lotus Eater's café...yumm.

We potter about at home..John and I have a rest and Thomas and Lioba have a great time out in the carpark...

Then it's off to Hobart via the scenic Coast Road up the channel..
We have dinner at Raincheck lounge then take Lioba to a Heritage Bush dance. She is delighted with the music and enjoys the dancing with us too...great fun.
Home to our beds...very tired.

Sunday and we are up and away by 8am...off to Hartz Mountain walk. It is a fabulous day and the walk is wonderful...made all the more thrilling by the snow drifts we have to navigate along the way. Thomas has a great time. Fabulous views.

After our walk we enjoy our picnic lunch then drive to Tahune to walk by the Huon River and cross the swing bridges..I get across first so the others can 'swing' the bridge. I don't know how they can do it!!...I feel woozy after just walking across.

Tom and Lioba go on the Air walk that takes them up into the canopy and over the river.

We stop at Geeveston on the way home for a quick look...not much to see ...a lot of businesses have closed down.
Glad to get home after a long day.. We have a cuppa and relax.
After and early dinner we watch an interesting DVD on Australian wildlife..then collapse into bed by 8pm!!
