We do not see much of it however and we start on orders at 6.30am and keep working all day.
Very busy!!...and on top of the Christmas orders we have customers in and a big order to go to Taiwan.
Half the order ready and more creams to make..
So lovely to see them both. Hannah has been working long hours at Rockwall and is also in the midst of study as Uni continues for her in this fast-track Nursing degree... what a girl!!
Hannah takes Raph up on the hill...perfect day for it up there...
Tom is delighted to see the visitors when he gets in from school.
They head off back to Hobart so Hannah can get to work tonight.
After a casual picnic dinner on the back step, I head out to walk the Golf course circuit..it is such an amazing evening...so warm and sunny.
We have a quiet night...John goes to be at 8.30 tonight!!
Tuesday is another sparkling morning.
We are heads down again today with orders keeping us out of mischief until mid afternoon.
The day continues to be beautiful and sunny.
We notice the Cygnet Primary school has their end of year assembly in the Town Hall in the afternoon.
Tom arrives in after another fun day of tidy-up and DVD!!
After a bit of sewing I manage a quick walk down to Burtons in the lovely evening before preparing the boys' dinner.

I have the last Board meeting for the year...so can't go to choir tonight..
A good wind-up meeting and lovely dinner provided..
We even crack open a sparking white to celebrate the commencement of building works for new gymnasium/ music room...a long time coming..
Wednesday is another sunny one and even warmer today...22!!
Jacqui from the café across the road , proudly wears her Christmas hat around town...makes me smile.
We have a busy morning then I go over to the Awards Assembly..
Thomas is awarded the Safe award !! Primary students are given awards relating to the Positive Behaviour motto FLAMES - F (faith) L (learning) A (attitude) M (mutual respect) E (encouraging) S (safe) It ties in with the school motto - Let your light shine
The afternoon passes quickly with customers and more orders to do.
I do some more Christmas baking before dinner.
We have a quiet night ..getting to bed before 9 again!! (well we are up at 5.45am!!)
Thursday (Last day of Yr 4 for Tom) and it is already 17 degrees when I go out at 6am..
We have a predicted high of 37 coming our way today...so we 'batten down the hatches!!'
The boys have a bit of silliness before school.
Cygnet Primary school are all making their way down to Burton's Reserve...a hot one for them today..
I go down to garden and it is very warm work today.
There are lots of us doing various tasks.. We get shade cloth over the poly tunnel and over the chooks, harvest broad been by the dozens, harvest more garlic ,weed and water.
Then its time for a lovely shared lunch in to cool of the veranda.
Back at the shop, its a brief hello to Hannah who has dropped down to Cygnet to have one of her immunisations in preparation for her next prac placement. She is delighted to tell me that the nurse allowed her to assist in preparing the syringe before the injection.. she is so excited about gaining this new skill.
We continue with orders and customers through the afternoon.
Tom arrives in, with a big grin..."Happy holidays!!"
I finish off some Christmas baking gifts...then contemplate a walk...but it is bakingly hot out , so have a cuppa instead.
After dinner I venture out as the temperature has dropped and there is a lovely cool breeze.
We enjoy a quiet evening listening to the live broadcast of Bach's Christmas Oratorio from Hamer Hall in Melbourne.
Our Advent window is filling up...looks lovely.
Friday and it is grey and cool with a slight sprinkle as I head out this morning...
He is dressed and out the back practising his archery before breakie.
Our Cichorium is doing so well...each flower only lasts a day then another blooms the next day..stunning!
It is pretty quiet in the shop this morning...just a couple of orders.
John does a bit more 'Rangers' reading..
Thomas enjoys some Minecraft time on the iPad.then does a wander round town..
I prepare his emerald glasses for the Scout 'Wizard of Oz' float in the Christmas Eve parade.
John sets to work decanting Shampoo and Conditioner ...one of his least favourite jobs...
Then the orders and customers roll in!!
The boys do the rounds of town in the afternoon, stopping to rummage through the skip bin at school..and bring back some treasures!! Test tubes, and aerial that transforms into telescopic 'swords', a little table, a double sided mirror and concave lens salvaged from the arm of an overhead projector!! Happy boys...
John and I take turns to have a short siesta as we are going into town tonight to a Christmas performance at St Marys called Sing Noel...by Allegri Ensemble.
It is a beautiful evening of a Capella singing.
We even spot some Christmas lights on our way home through Huonville.
Saturday and we have a slightly slower start..heading to a garage sale up the road at 8am.. No treasures found this time.
I do some baking, washing etc..
John reads us some more Ranger's Apprentice through the day and we finish book 4
We potter the day away...really relaxing..
Then it's time for dinner and Lord of the Rings..Return of the King Pt 2!!
Sunday is a grey cool day.
We thin out the back garden as it has become overgrown..
Then take the cuttings up on the hill..
We spend about an hour on Thistle Patrol..chipping as we find them...but the rain comes in and gets steadier..
I'm already wet so decide to walk home from King's Hill...lovely.
We have timed our outing well as the rain becomes heavier and heavier and stays around most of the afternoon. Good reading weather.
Tom goes off to work early as he is keen to help out...and is away almost 2 hours!. Loves it.
I manage a quick walk around town before the rain returns.
We settle in for the evening...Our advent window is getting exciting now..nearly there...Not many more sleeps.
