There are orders to get done, the Argentum Oint to label and pack and John and Tom make a Plumbum Oint. We also have a number of customers through the shop and sell a lot of books and products.. A busy day.
Tom has fun playing with the Electronics set Gemma and Julian sent for Christmas..
I buy some enormous local cherries..
After work and dinner, the boys go out the back where Tom does some Archery practice. It is such a beautiful afternoon/evening, I walk the Golf course circuit.
We have some 'Ranger' before bed...
Tuesday and the weather cools off a bit.
John fills and I label and pack the Plumbum Oint.
We have a few orders..but on the whole it is pretty quiet today.
Tom has a great morning talking to cousin Connor about Minecraft.
After lunch, we potter doing various tasks and Tom goes for a bike ride up around school to see what is happening. He stops to say hello to his new teacher Ms Lawless who is working in Yr 5 classroom.
The weather turns in the late afternoon , bringing rain and cool temperatures..
Nice snuggle down weather.
I bake an Apricot and nut loaf from a cookbook John passed my way..looks good..

Wednesday and it is a cool start..but with a predicted high of 22 today.
Prunus berries are looking wonderful in our garden.
John and Tom set out at 7.45 to go into Kingston to have their feet x-rayed...both hobbling about at times..with sore feet so Dr Neil suggests further investigation.
I take the opportunity to vacuum the shop before work.
A few good sized orders to be done.
The day passes with more orders coming through...and some customers too.
We all go in to Kingston for Tom's appointment with Podiatrist 'Farmer Dan'..Hopefully we have got to the bottom of Tom's foot issues and Orthotics will help...
There is quite a fire burning over the river..hard to know if it is a Forestry burn or not.
Hannah has some archery time with Tom before his bedtime...then we do a girl movie in the shop...really nice.. (it's been a long time)
Thursday and there is still some smoke haze about.
Hannah heads off to go to uni.
John and Tom make a Graphites/Stibium Oint then bottle up the Hypericum oil for storage.
Tom and I go down to garden..but Tom doesn't stay as his mate Riley is not coming today...
We do weeding and mulching then enjoy lunch together.
There is a lot of fruit ripening up slowly...can't wait for those plums.
Laura comes back to the shop with me as she will water our garden when we go to Melbourne this weekend. John shows her what he wants done.. Thanks Laura.

After dinner Tom invites us to take a walk over to look at the building works at school..

Friday and it is a grey cool start at 6.
By 9 it is still grey but warmer.
We have a number of orders to get done this morning.
We will close after lunch and prepare to head to Melbourne.
Fabulous to arrive at our hotel about 5.30...time to go out for a meal in Chinatown then wander the city. Just loved the 'Play me' Piano instalations in random places all over town. So many talented people just stopping to have a spontaneous play...fantastic.

Saturday and I have a delightful early morning walk...more piano music to he heard wafting down the road
Then enjoy some more wandering..
We split up..the boys spending the morning looking at bookshops.. I go to NGV to see the
Edward Steichen & Art Deco Fashion Exhibition...fabulous.
Then call in to the Arts Centre to view the 'All that Glitters' exhibition..costumes from stage...from Kylie to Opera!!
I enjoy a walk about looking in my favourite shops...just love Melbourne..
Chinese dragons and drums parade through Myer...ear-splittingly load!!
We meet back at our hotel for a short rest, then head out on the tram to Brunswick St...to have lunch at the Vege Bar and go to Grubb St Books..(one of John's favourites!!)
We take another wander around town and have some desert..then home to bed
Then it's off to Stony Point to catch the French Island Ferry
There is a little hiccup with our pick-up from the jetty as Jane's car has a flat battery...so she rings us on the ferry to say she'll be there a few minutes late... We are left wondering how she will get down to the jetty to her other car...then suddenly Jane comes flying down the dirt road on her bike!! (That must have been some ride Jane!!) Just sorry I didn't have the camera ready to capture it..
Wonderful morning tea , then we move the truck with the unexpected help of some locals...then tour of the property.. Lovely to see Bella and meet Bindi...gorgeous dogs..Tom is in his element.
We do a scout for Mistletoe to harvest Monday morning before we leave..
John does some spectacular climbing to reach a big clump..
Back home we take the dogs down to the dam for a swim...Tom take the opportunity to show John his prowess on the tractor..
Tom and Jane have a fiddle with the battery of the truck...but no luck there.
We enjoy a cuppa with Ali who has returned from a Market on the Peninsula..then walk down to check on the llamas...
After a delicious dinner, I can't resist going out for another walk in the golden evening light.
We finish the day watching the Men's Tennis Final...
Monday and we are up early to get out before the heat. Gorgeous Koala in the tree near the shed.
We have a successful harvest..then home to luscious French Island Breakfast..
A busy morning of farm work etc..Ali prepares home grown plums put out to sun dry, Jane gives the garden a good soaking, John and I strip the Mistletoe, Tom mows a track around the llama paddock with Ali directing him, We all give a hand with netting the apple tree..
After morning tea Jane takes us down to the Anchorage for a brief look about...too hot to go walking.
After a lovely sit and chat at home it's time to head to the ferry.. Thanks for a wonderful visit Jane and Ali.
