Our week passes so quickly again..there are plenty of orders to keep us out of mischief.
A container is delivered to Wattle Grove for storing the batteries and generator..another step towards building stage..
A small group attends tonight and we toss around ideas of an alternative meeting place as the Supper room is freezing..
I offer Southern Swan as a venue..and it is agreed to give it a try next week..
Wednesday is such a sunny day... and we get our orders out of the way in the morning, so i go up on the hill to collect much needed kindling.
I had the company of a possum in the tall gums nearby..
Wednesday night we were treated to a visit from Hannah and Mark...
Hannah cooks us dinner with the assistance of Mark..Yummo
My big boy Ben has moved into the family cot now.. (but now he doesn't look so big)
Lioba, Connor and Thomas have all slept in this cot
Look...Lucy is a ladybird...isn't she gorgeous!!
Imagine if your teacher turned up dressed like this for Book Week...you'd just go...WOW!!
Captivated by the lovely calves that wander over to Community garden fence as we work cleaning out the shed. Just can't resist them..
Beautiful day...
Getting the shed into order.. a big job.
A chilly morning on Friday so Tom gives his Russian hat a workout.
Friday evening...and Tom is all packed and ready to head off to Mount Field for Scout snow camp.
He is growing up so fast.
Saturday arrives and we set up for our first Book Launch.
David Coad was born locally but now lives in Paris. He has been writing local history books over a number of years.
He is back in town to Launch Volume 4.
We go up on the hill to begin some repair work on our bottom dam which has developed a hole during the recent rains. The dispersive soil causes havoc..
Sunday morning we head up to continue dam work.
We dig a channel at the overflow point to drain off some of the water.
Then we fill in the hole and patch the dam side with clay we have dug up.
Hopefully it will buy us some more time, before we have to get machinery in to do a better job.
We go back up on the hill and have a bite to eat before getting on with fencing for a couple of hours.
It is coming together slowly.
We head back down to shower, then John picks Tom up at 4pm.
He has had a great time in the snow...but is quite tired.
Not too tired to do a little Minecraft before dinner.
By dinner , he is really tired and snuggles in all his warm gear with a favourite friend.
Another fabulous week.
