Busy week...

We have a busy time this week.
And some delightful Ben photos of course..
I arrived home on Monday night ..the boys picking me up from the airport about 8 ish.

Tuesday morning John is up at 4.30am to fly to Canberra for the day to attend the funeral of our dear friend Angie. A very sad loss for Brendan and family after a short time between diagnosis and Angie's passing. John is glad to make the journey to be present
Hannah and Jark come over and Hannah cooks dinner...very welcome after a tiring day...thanks Narns.
We are busy with orders on Wednesday and John goes up on the hill to do more work on cubby site.
We are busy making  and packing two creams on Thursday so I don't get to garden..
Knitwits is on tonight and there is a good attendance...very enjoyable.
Tom thoroughly enjoys Scouts as usual.
Friday , John and I spend most of the day doing 6 signs for the Scout Garage sale...A big job...but we are glad to be able to contribute in a small way.. The Scout leaders are so committed.

Saturday morning, John gets to work on re-potting some of his medicinal plants that have to go through three growing cycles before harvest..a big job..

I bake and do washing and Tom takes the opportunity to Minecraft..
Then it's up the hill we go. We do the finishing touches to slab prep. for the cubby.

Exciting to see the footings poured at house site

Then John and I walk down to the bottom dam to check it is ok...and chip thistles along the way. There are Spring flowers coming up all over the place...lovely..

My roses are sprouting....

Looking back towards the house site from the western corner of the walnut tree paddock.

We don't push ourselves today as we are going into Hobart to see Bell Shakespeare performance of Henry V at the Theatre Royal tonight.

we head in after Tom finishes work and have dinner at the Standard..a quirky takeaway burger place...food is pretty disappointing though..

The play is fantastic..alot to get your head around ..but brilliantly staged. Tom gets a bit weary towards the end. Glad to get home to bed.
Sunday is a gorgeous day. I help my friend Kate unload for her Market stall and we wander the market before going up on the hill.
I go up in my car to collect sticks down the bottom paddock road while the boys come in the top gate.
Then..oh no..I can't get my car to start.. The boys drive down to where I am.. (thank heavens for our 2-way radios). with a bit of a push, I clutch start the car and we take it down to the BP and leave it there to be looked at..
Then we pile into John's car with all the gear and go back up.
We get stuck into fencing and feel as though we are slowly getting it together.

We enjoy our lunch break and Tom gets the Kelly Kettle going..nothing like a cuppa..

We head back down in time to get Tom to work... I decide to walk home from the top of Jetty Road...such a gorgeous day. Pretty tired when I get home though.
A relaxed evening is wonderful..
Love the Ben photos this week..such a cute new expression..
