Wattle Grove house site...(loads of photos of dirt heaps!!) Exciting for us though..

Monday is a coolish start.

Action stations here as Tom has to be at school by 8am to go to swimming Carnival in Hobart.
John has to be up on the hill at 8am to meet with Paul and excavator driver to clarify work to be done today.
The house site is being flattened out this week...exciting.

I get on with orders and serving customers as they come in during the morning. John is back mid-morning.
We carry on with work until John goes back up on the hill again about 1-ish to meet Paul again to check progress. He is back within the hour..

The orders keep coming..
Tom has early scout meeting tonight at 4.15...so John drops him off and continues back up on the hill to do some regeneration work..
I finish up the day in the shop then make some beef and red wine pies to take up on the hill for picnic dinner..
I pick up Tom at 5.45 and we go up to see what John is up to.
After a delicious dinner overlooking our house site John gets back to work.

Tom and I have a wonderful time scouring the cleared ground for treasures. I appears there was once a homestead on this spot. We find lots of broken bits of crockery and old bottles...a horseshoe..and old 1 lb weight...

Home we go for showers and a short 'Brotherband ' session before bed.

Tuesday... and oops.we sleep in until 6.45am... well it is a cloudy morning.
We manage all our morning rituals before John heads up to meet Paul on the hill at 8am.

Tom does some Clarinet practice then its time for school .
I get on with orders ..John arrives back about 9.30
The day is filled with orders and admin jobs to be done.
Tom gets in from school and we do a bit more on the Fauna of the Daintree Forest before he heads to work.
John is off again to work on the hill.
Choir tonight but I don't think I'll be in attendance...my tiredness has turned to exhaustion and a sore throat..bummer... We all opt for and early night . Tom tucks the old folks in at 8pm, then heads to bed for a read!!

Wednesday is cool and we sleep in again...we need the rest.
After breakie, John goes up on the hill and Tom and I do Recorder practice...and some reading before school.
There is plenty to go on with during the morning..
John arrives in about 9.45 looking  and feeling tired...no wonder.. but he is happy that he is salvaging clods of turf to rehabilitate the scoured ground next to the road.
We work through orders and serve the occasional customer.
After lunch, John has a short snooze to revive..then I take a turn and have a snooze after him..
John goes up again after school is out...
After work Tom and I go up to take a look at what has been done...very impressive. Bit chilly for me though...so I leave the boys to it and go home to get dinner on.

Nice quiet and early night for all again..

Thursday and despite the forecast 26° the morning is grey and chilly.
John heads up early again .
Tom does some Clarinet practice..he is coming along really well. We do a few chores..then it's time for school/work.
I don't go down to garden today..still feeling a bit under the weather...
John comes back and gets started on Citrus/Cydonia ointment.
After lunch John goes back up on the hill to lay hay ready to sow seed later this afternoon as rain is predicted tomorrow.
I take Tom to the dentist at Huonville after school..for a checkup..no probs..
After Tom finishes work we go up to see what John has been up to.. He looks exhausted!! But it looks fantastic.

We enjoy the hot picnic dinner..then sow seed..and head back home to showers and a very quiet early night.

Friday ..and the rain arrives as predicted. Dark and grey.
John goes up on the hill to meet Paul and do a bit more work.
Tom gets his backpack sorted for our Sydney trip this weekend..
We have alot to keep us busy through the day..
We will get away after school finishes..
I will be going on to Moree to visit Jess and Aaron ,after our weekend in Sydney..so will pick up the blog again next week
